Team Colvin Legacy was created in honor of Thomas Colvin, a retired firefighter who responded on September 11th and later passed away from cancer related to his exposure that day.
But to us, he was more than a firefighter.
He was a true family man. He was always there for his grandkids and never missed a game or a sporting event. A lot of my friends grew up knowing him from the sidelines, always showing support. That’s just who he was.
When I decided to climb in his honor, my family and friends wanted to be part of it right away. This team exists because of the impact he had on all of us, not just through his service, but through the way he lived his life.
We’re climbing to honor his service, his sacrifice, and the legacy he left behind.
